... https://www.cbsnews.com/losangeles/news/police-searching-suspects-who-robbed-man-of-more-than-100-pounds-of-marijuana-at-gunpoint-in-culver-city/
The article reveals how the cops may not actually have to see the suspect to catch him, they should be able to find him by their sense of smell...
Here is the text:

...According to police, the men who confronted the victim are described as being in their 20s. One is around 6-feet tall. One of the two men was wearing dark jeans and a black hoodie with shit spots. The other was wearing a white hoodie with dark-colored marks on the upper chest area and light-colored pants with a stripe along the legs. Both were wearing black ski masks.

He would be a reasonable suspect since he usually has his head up his ass.

...when the writer tried to type the description "white" (spots), he accidentally hit the "S" key just below the "W", then typed the rest of the word, "...h...i...t...e..."  so the spell-checker saw "s...h...i...t...e..." and auto-corrected to, "shit". Voila. Since the author apparently never bothered to edit, it was published as "shit" instead of "white".
