..and Falz Walz weeps. None of the values Klamydia claimed to espouse were demonstrated during her years in power or in her campaign. So they may be the most empty, ludicrous, insipid words ever spoken in a concession speech.

She employed a cheap oratorical ploy - to use the personal pronoun "we" or "our" instead of I, me, mine, my. It is designed to make the speaker appear to be a "uniter" or "unifier".  For someone who ran what is arguably one of the most divisive, vitriolic, vituperative, inflammatory vicious campaigns in modern American history, the speech was a mendacious insincere obscenity.

It reminded me of the sorts of speeches condemned prisoners awaiting their execution on the gallows make - full faux humility and lofty sentiments, but ultimately blatantly, glaringly contradicted in every way by their own previous actions.

Harris obviously does not intend to quit politics - she will likely run for high office again - the second she believes she has a clear, unchallenged path to easy victory. See, there was one part of the speech that was probably her speaking to herself more than anyone - the part about "never giving up the fight, staying in it for the long run..." That's how someone aspiring to run again rationalizes continuing to try to stay in the game.

Another thing I noticed was Tim Walz's face. There is a famous photo from WWII of a group of French people lining the streets of Paris as the German military rolls into the city, where one of the males is visibly weeping like a small boy. Walz had that identical face on him as he listened to Klamydia pontificate and preach Apollonian values to a mob full of weak, narcissistic, immature, ignorant, easily-manipulated, craven, vicious cowardly cacogens.
