Don't get me wrong. I have tremendous respect for him. I have met the man and read his autobiography. 
I just don't think he adds any value as VP he could not in some other position.
Trump does not need someone to soften him. That is the opposite of his strength. The Left won't hesitate to attack Carson, despite his accomplishments. It will gain Trump nothing.

Love Carson. Don't want him as the VP pick.
