If DJT is somehow knocked out of the '24 election by legalisms, would enough of his voters switch to n alternate to defeat Xiden or some other 'Crat?

There are some troubling signs of "Only Trumpers" out there - people who claim they would not vote for any other candidate no matter what.

To me Only Trumpers are almost as irrational as Never Trumpers.

What part of, "Voting in the presidential election is a binary process," do these people not understand?? That's WHY there is a primary process - so that alternate candidates can be in the race in case #1 is knocked out.

I've never thought it was disrespectful to Trump to run against him in the primary for that exact reason. Hell, the former president could (God forbid) get knocked out by a lightening strike, unforeseen injury or health crisis. But the clear, present danger in that regard is now that states will be able to legally bar him from being on ballots if he is convicted of a crime that qualifies as exclusionary under the Constitution.

Currently Colorado is going to lose in the appeal but that's only because DJT hasn't even been charged, much less convicted of any exclusionary crime - only accused of them by political enemies including the lawless justices in Colorado.

But if DJT is convicted regardless of whether those convictions are overturned on appeal, that might be enough to keep him off the ballot and effectively remove him from the election.

So people need to figure out whether they are more dedicated to DJT or to the objective of removing the 'Crats from the executive branch.

At this point, I'd go with either DeSantis or Ramaswamy if DJT is bumped. Halley is a loose cannon and as Dee et al have pointed out, she is too chummy with military contractors.
