I'm referring to the 2003 recall election in California. Famous celebrity Arnold Schwarzenegger, known for his famous role in the Terminator franchise, ran for governor and won twice (2003 and 2006).

Great acting, Arnold. If only your tenure as governor was just as good as your acting.

As for Washington State, we almost got a Republican governor in 2004 but were denied a chance by less than 200 votes.
