Maybe in light of these new developments, we should amend that truism to include never believing anything that we hear OR see unless it's from a VRS (verified reliable source). 

It was interesting what happened recently - someone pirated a Russian radio station and panicked the peasants with a false alert. Similar technology I believe. heh
