Kubrick said in his biography that T.V. commercials were the highest form of video production because they require connecting with, influencing and conveying a message to viewers in around 60-90 seconds tops. The human attention-span has changed. Kubrick et al (Postman of "Amusing Ourselves to Death" also) believed the potential power of advertising (Madison Avenue) to damage the human psyche was appalling and virtually infinite.
