Original Message:   The new master of deception: deepfakes.
Just stumbled across a video (warning - vulgar language) of an AI-generated conversation between "presidents" playing Minecraft.

A deepfake is a form of altered or fabricated media that takes the voice and looks of a real person and generates fictitious contents based on the desires of a creator (or group).

Imagine the media using deepfakes to push their narrative (it's already used in one country). They are extremely hard to detect without intense scrutiny. Anyone can do this and fabricate false information with publicly available tools. And it can be posted anonymously too.

With the fast pace of technology, it's reasonable to assume that such deceptive tool could be deployed in the near future.
