He demoted her because she exercised her Constitutional rights by criticizing Gascon's policies and violated no internal policy or law. 

Gascon now faces (16) more of the same from other attorneys he demoted and will likely lose those as well. 

BTW, the recall effort against him was most likely a success, but was killed by corrupt L.A. County officials who violated laws in the process, and are now preventing an investigation by refusing to turn over information about their actions. 

I hope Gascon dies. Hopefully at the hands of one of the violent criminals he protected/released and inspired. He is a fascist pig in pig's clothing.
