Slaying the big tech demon is merely a wish, unfortunately. Like what you said, they'll just find ways to adapt (or revive themselves). In the end, they'll do anything to keep their pockets full. Even if it means taking our freedom away. The way I see it, all economic systems will have some evil in it. But socialism is a big no from me. Hopefully with what we have left, more competitors will turn up and give us conservative-friendly alternatives. Don't get me started with Truth Social, though.
