Andrew "Murderhouse" Cuomo got away with essentially murdering thousands of innocent people. For that exact reason.
If anyone in the private sector had made the decisions he did as a function of their role in the company, they AND their company would be eviscerated legally and financially.

The legal argument permitting this lethal insanity borders on the absurd: Because government officials ostensibly "act as  functionaries of the Will of the People" the People cannot sue or charge them criminally, because that is tantamount to "arresting/suing themselves".

I know. Absurd. But it's the law. If I were emperor the law would change and Cuomo et al, would feel the full weight of justice under that law. He would be made an example for anyone who followed him to remember.
