Original Message:   Musk offer to buy Twitter "suspended" over funding issues, obstruction of due-Dillinger(sic)
It's looking worse and worse for the prospects of Twitter being bought by Musk, who is a tough customer when it comes to due diligence on business deals. Twitter is refusing to supply information about bogus user-accounts (fake accounts/bots) to Musk's legal team, despite several formal requests. The AG of Florida is apparently investigating the matter (Twitter is on shaky legal ground denying this information claiming that they have complied with documentation obligations related to the sale already).

It looks more and more like Musk would rather take a ($1 billion) hit in the form of a purchase-cancellation penalty, than gamble on buying a company unwilling to be forthcoming about actual-user numbers. That's because it's 'absurd to pretend the number of fake accounts/bots is irrelevant to assessing company value. The actual number of physical users is important because it has direct bearing on the vitality/validity of the potential revenue-stream.
