Last Three Rare Georgia Birds Captured
The Assorted Press April 10, 2004 --The last three tit-masher birds known to exist were captured this week in Lickskillet, Georgia, and an avid bird watcher says that despite their exotic color pattern and small size, "they taste like chicken". Bird watcher, Fritz Hartmann, a retired aluminum can collector and political forum poster said, "If I had not captured and consumed these birds, they would have become extinct, and no one would have ever known what they tasted like. I was going to save two of them as breeding stock, but they're so small I really needed all three to make a meal." Mr. Hartmann said he also "enjoyed a nice glass of Chianti, and some small red potatoes swimming in butter." The Georgia State Wildlife Research Center and the National Wildlife Federation have been trying to reach Mr. Hartmann but he says he wants no credit, "I am a modest person, I just prefer to post my experience in the Right Minds forum and perhaps the AARP magazine, Road Kill for Food and Fun".
