July 2004 -- Despite Jesse Jackson's belief that people who criticize him do so because of their "postmodern" worldview, the latest Klugscheisser poll shows that a broad spectrum of Americans enjoy laughing at and criticizing the foibles of the former presidential candidate turned Kerry campaign advisor.
When Reverend Jackson, was asked by the Assorted Press to explain what motivates the "ceaseless lampooning" he faces, the erudite Reverend said, "That's postmodernism...It's the combination of narcissism and nihilism that really defines postmodernism."
But Klugscheisser polling data suggests that Rev. Jackson elicits laughter not only from postmoderns, but also moderns, anti-postmoderns, pre-moderns, post-toasties, Right Mind posters, post-impressionists and even some Democrats.
"We were surprised at how the mere mention of Rev. Jackson's name brings people of diverse backgrounds and thought-patterns together," said a Klugscheisser polling company spokesman. "Everybody loves laughing at Jesse Jackson except maybe John Kerry."
