Sen. Edward Kennedy to Host Talk ShowBy THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
BOSTON (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy will host a monthly public affairs show on cable access stations across Massachusetts beginning next month.
Boston Mayor Thomas Menino is penciled in as the Democrat's first guest, and the two will discuss the economic impact of next month's Democratic National Convention, a spokesman for the state's senior senator said.
Kennedy will tape six shows initially and then decide whether to continue, spokesman David Smith said.
``It's a pilot project,'' he said. ``We want to see how well it works, and what the response is.''........

Ted Kennedy on radio?
June 18, 2004 (TAP) -- With Al Franken already in the field, but not able to generate a steady audience, Democrat insiders say the "burning question" from D.C. to Chappaqua is this: Will Ted Kennedy sink Rush Limbaugh?
Long the standard bearer of the Democrat party, Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy has not made any previous attempt at liberal talk-radio broadcasting. But he is seen by many as the penultimate Democrat, who's not afraid to accuse President Bush of anything including lying and sex with farm animals.
Liberal-Democrats say Kennedy's neo-liberal ideology will counter the burgeoning neo-con movement such as noted on the Right Minds Forum and bring revival to the National Education Association, the United Auto Workers and Planned Parenthood alike.
Many Democrats point to his Kennedy celebrity lineage as the key reason he should get into talk-radio. The Senator is a close relative of popular former-TV star Maria Shriver and her husband actor-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as Michael Skakal and a host of other family celebrities.
"He has the air of royalty about him," said one unnamed DNC staffer. "Everyone knows that Teddy is the only one who can suck more air out of the room than the Clintons. The buzz about his potential radio program alone should scare the shit out of Limbaugh."
Of course, Mr. Kennedy is characteristically tight-lipped about any bid to run Rush Limbaugh off the air.
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it," he said yesterday. "I'm not going to dive into that question at a time when Rush is drowning in a sea of his own personal problems."
And yet the rumors continue to float, driven by the desire of many Democrats to see a Kennedy winning at something - anything.
