"Nonpartisan" Forum Owner Speaks to the Assorted Press

April 16, 2005 (TAP) -- The owner, publisher and editor of the leading Internet political forum, "The Patriot", Mr. O. Contraire, told TAP he is unaware of any sycophants in his forum nor is there any censorship in his nonpartisan political forum.

TAP: "Mr. Contraire, it has been often said that some of the posts questioning the honesty or the intelligence of certain posters have been selectively censored to remove posts you feel are offensive to your personal friends on the Left, is this true?"

Mr. O. Contraire: "This is a load of crap and an attempt by neo-Cons to piss on my Combat Infantry Badge, my jump wings and my Good Conduct Medal.

Here's what I am doing, I'm going to go back on duty personally, as the sole representative from the left. So that there is no confusion, as I interpret the law, any mention of another forum member in any way that is not clearly congratulatory, laudatory or otherwise meritorious will get you bounced from this forum.

Let it be it understood further that I will not waste my time in dissecting posts. If their intent, in my estimation, is malicious, I'll simply remove the post, without comment, apology, explanation or further discussion."

TAP: "Mr. O. Contraire, is it true that you once shut down an entire section of your enterprise known as the "Romper Room" simply because a poster on the Left side was exposed as a plagiarizing simpleton and sycophant?"

 Mr. O. Contraire: "This interview is over, get the (expletive deleted) out of here you racist, neo-Con!"

Prior to the abruptly ended interview, Mr. O. Contraire had said that deletions or editorial cuts made to some Conservative board messages were not censorship, just honest mistakes or for protection from neo-Con personal attacks.

O. Contraire also said he is amazed and outraged by complaints of censorship from some of the more outspoken posters from the Right side; "I thought I was doing those warmongers a favor".

Mr. O. Contraire again said that his forum was nonpartisan and included posts from such political moderates as Sandy and Issodhos.
